Summary:
In 2019, Sourcewell, a service cooperative, competitively issued a bid and awarded a cooperative contract to Clark Equipment Company dba Bobcat Company for medium duty and compact construction equipment with related attachments, accessories and supplies. Cooperative contracts leverage value-added pricing, vendor service levels, and advantageous contract terms. A quote based on Sourcewell contract 040319-CEC was solicited from KC Bobcat.
This proposed unit will replace a Bobcat E35-N Mini Excavator used by the Parks Construction Crew for the construction of new city parks, playgrounds and shelters and the maintenance of existing parks facilities.
Staff recommends award of contract to KC Bobcat through the Sourcewell contract, KC Bobcat is an Olathe vendor.
The Bobcat E35-N (Unit 4357 0911) has paid $37,000 in lease fees to VERF. VERF Fund balance will cover the additional $13,975.00.
