Summary:
The approved 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) included the following annual projects:
• ATMS Replacement and Repair, PN 3-C-037-XX
• Miscellaneous ADA Sidewalk Repair and Replacement, PN 3-C-093-XX
• Neighborhood & School Traffic Safety Improvements, PN 3-C-048-XX
• Sidewalk Construction, PN 3-C-072-XX
• Streetlight LED Conversion, PN 3-C-009-XX
• Structures Repair, PN 3-G-000-XX
• Building Maintenance, PN 8-M-000-XX
• Citywide Roofing Replacement & Maintenance, PN 6-C-001-XX
• Digital Network Reliability, PN 7-C-006-XX
• Facility & Parking Lot Improvements & Maintenance, PN 6-C-032-XX
These projects are needed to preserve, maintain and expand infrastructure throughout the city. Traditionally, many of these projects have been funded with GO Bonds, thus requiring Council to approve an authorization resolution for each project. During last year’s budget process, the decision was made to fund the above annual projects with cash. As such, no further Council action is necessary to authorize the projects since they were included in the approved 2024-2028 CIP. The majority of these projects are delivered or constructed via Council approved price agreements with various vendors and contractors, so it is possible that Council will take no further action on many of these projects in 2024.
