Summary:

SmartWorks maintains all register, pressure, and temperature reads that are gathered thru our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. Register reads collected in Smartworks are used for utility customer billing.

SmartWorks uses meter data to find residential meters that show continuous usage and automatically sends out Leak Detection emails to residential customers with email addresses on record, if no email address is on record a list of customers is emailed to Customer Service.

The system imports WaterOne daily AMI reads for City of Olathe sewer customers for monthly billing.

The City has used Smartworks for their MDM (Meter Data Management) system since 2018. Staff recommends continuing use of SmartWorks to maintain the reading data for the foreseeable future.
