Summary:
On February 1, 2024, six (6) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $787,939.25 to $978,437.95 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $1,271,486.50. McAnany Construction, Inc submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $787,939.25. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

This project is in place to improve the parking area at the Olathe Girls Softball Complex.
This improvement is Phase I of the Olathe Girls Softball Complex Project. It includes paving the existing gravel parking lot at the back of the complex and construction of a drainage basin to address stormwater concerns through the park. Phase II of the project will include repaving the existing parking lot on the front part of the complex. Due to the excellent price for Phae I of the project, staff is preparing a change order to the contract to construct Phase II this summer. It is anticipated that the change order will be presented to Council for consideration in April 2024.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2024 and with completion anticipated in Fall 2024.

The funding for this project includes the following sources:
