Summary:
The City of Olathe contracts with Ka-Comm, Inc, for police vehicle emergency equipment and installation of emergency equipment. This contract was most recently renewed on April 7th, 2021 with an ending date of April 5th, 2024. Ka-Comm is one of two vendors utilized for the purchase of vehicle emergency equipment purchase and the installation of emergency equipment due to vendor capacity limitations.
City staff are recommending the renewal of this contract for a two (2) year contract with the option to renew.

Financial Impact:
Total financial impact will be approximately $320,000 per year and will be funded through the Vehicle Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF).
